While navigating the day-to-day coverage of a chaotic administration in 2017, THE ONION began this expansive special project. Published by Harper Collins, The Trump Leaks contained hundreds of damning documents from every corner of the Trump administration that included everything from official White House documents to children’s drawings, blueprints, and full paintings which were created by THE ONION Art Department.

As Art Director, I oversaw the production of the massive project while ensuring that day-to-day coverage for THE ONION INC. websites stayed on track. The Art Department’s ability to cover a broad scope of visuals, pivoting from site-to-site, special project-to-special project is unparalleled and the work featured in The Trump Leaks is a testament to that.

My largest artistic contribution to this project was creating the cover art for the book which was the most involved illustration I ever made for THE ONION.
